Agility Principals

This class is for dogs and/or handlers with little or no experience.  Prerequisites to this class would be some basic obedience skills and the dog to be under control by the handler with simple commands such as “sit”, “down”, “stay”, and “come”.

The focus of this class will be developing a relationship between dog and handler.  The class will also cover foundation shaping work with equipment such as gates, hoops, barrels, and tunnels.  We also work on basic directional commands.

We work a lot on total body awareness and opening the mind of the dog to learn.

The basis of this class is the NADAC Beginners Agility Program.

This class is now being taught by Galloping Dog Agility Club CLICK HERE for more info and to be directed to the GDAC site to sign up for the next session being offered!
